Hello Alief I.S.D. students and parents,

I’m Latosha Baker, the College and Career Readiness Facilitator for Alief I.S.D. I’m excited to connect with you through our monthly newsletter, where I’ll be sharing valuable scholarship opportunities and spotlighting students who have achieved success in their college and career journeys. I will also share numerous Post-Secondary Success events.

Please make sure you review scholarship link on a DAILY basis. Make sure you are signed in using your Alief Gmail. Alief ISD scholarships are for Alief ISD students only. Scholarships are posted for grades 9 through 12.

Thinking about what you want to do after you graduate? Are you a 9th grader trying to figure out the path ahead. Please come out to College is an Option event on September 27th. The first 100 students to register will receive a backpack full of supplies! College application tips, financial aid scholarship strategies, post graduation preparation along with 4/2 year colleges, vocational and technical schools, military academy and ROTC recruiters, a college panel and many more activities will be available.
