Owen's Intermediate
Week of August 26, 2024
Operating With Excellence Never Stops!
First two weeks of school are in the books. 35 weeks remaining. How do you make the most of the weeks ahead? As you prepare, I challenge you to embrace being Excellent on Purpose.
Excellent-Extremely good, outstanding, superior
Purpose-something set up as an object or end to be attained
Being excellent on purpose means actively choising to set and pursue goals of a high standard and continually improving in your efforts. Setting goals is a critical part of the process, as it provides direct, focus, and motivation. By definihg clear outcomes attached to achievable objectives, you can customize a plan for success.
Excellence comes from intentional actions and commitment to growth. In the next few weeks, you will work on creating SMART Goals so that prior performance can improve and we can achieve our common goal of student success.
Let's have a wonderful week and Be Excellent on Purpose!
We are striving for 95% or better attendance. Please be sure to review the classroom rosters and ensure all students on your list, have First Time in Class (FTC). You should not still be marking student's no show. If you have a student that has not shown up in your class, send the name to our registrar, Traci Taylor.
Continuing this week, complete your attendance on the Roster and the 1/2 Sheet. Students are either Present or Absent. If there is a student that has never been to your class, highlight that name. If a student has been added, please contact the registrar as it may be a new enrollee.
Only 5th grade is allowed to have recess. However, there is no recess this week. A schedule will be provided with expectations when recess begins. What does this mean? You will have more instructional time. We will not implement indoor recess; we will have brain breaks instead.
Please review all schedules and see your team leader if you have questions:
