This weekend was action-packed, with activity in every corner of the district. Our Alief Votes students hosted a community event at the Bill Marshall Building to celebrate fine arts in Alief ISD. Student art and musical talents were on full display as our students facilitated the celebration! We also kicked off our second season of girls' flag football. The stands were packed with our families, and our students were dialed in, competitive, and having a fun time. Mrs. Roxanna Barnes, Prevention and Safe Schools Specialist, provided an opportunity for our young men to learn and grow at our Annual Boys' Conference. We were proud to host the Taiwan Yes Festival in the Elsik High School parking lot and celebrate our diversity. There are countless opportunities to engage in our community, and I hope you take full advantage of them to build connections that help our students and community thrive.
See you at the Taste of Alief and the upcoming Youth Fest, where our students will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas for a cash prize!
