DR. MAYS’ WEEK AHEAD An Update from Superintendent Dr. Anthony Mays

October 7, 2024
Dr. Mays

This month, we celebrate our principals and all they do to create a safe and nurturing place for our students to learn and our professionals to grow. Recently, I had an opportunity to watch Liestman Elementary Principal Noe Galindo lead a faculty meeting. I was so impressed with him and his staff and their focus on solid student outcomes and a strong campus culture. It’s no surprise that his campus made strides under his leadership this past year. The principal makes such a significant impact and difference for our students and our Alief community. Their leadership load is not light but very heavy. However, they all lead with heart, intelligence, and grace despite the heavy load. We are fortunate to have the principals that we have in Alief ISD!

Below are some suggestions to celebrate them:

  1. Principal Appreciation Breakfast

  2. Campus Video Tribute

  3. Kind Letters From Staff

  4. Decorate Principals Office

  5. Share a Principals Survival Kit
